About the Role 
The Project Manager will lead medium to large technology projects across multiple teams and business stakeholders. The role requires expert knowledge of project management methodologies, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive delivery of high quality software solutions. This position reports to the Lead IT Project Manager within the IT Project Management Office (PMO).
 
As a Project Manager you will lead and manage medium to large scale projects within our dynamic PMO team. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager who has a strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies with the ability to manage a diverse range of projects, working effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders for efficient project implementation.
 
As an integral member of the organisation, your role will encompass overseeing multiple projects simultaneously and driving the successful delivery of state-of-the-art software products whilst fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams. You have strong people management skills and a demonstrated ability to develop and execute project plans that are in alignment with business objectives. Advanced knowledge of risk management, budgeting, scheduling, and the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and resolve conflicts effectively.
 
The ideal candidate boasts a comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices, strong stakeholder management skills, a clear understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.
 
Familiarity with Change Management Methodologies would be advantageous. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of multiple technology projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
  • Maintain project artefacts in the Monday.com project management tool and ensure compliance with the Maples project delivery framework.
  • Adhere to the Maples project delivery framework, ensuring relevant sign-off is received at each phase of the project from Portfolio Manager, Project Sponsors, Product Owners, and delivery teams.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Monitor progress, resolve issues, and escalate risks as needed.
  • Lead project meetings, status update sessions, and working groups; prepare agendas, minutes, and presentations, etc.
  • Conduct budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Facilitate retrospectives and apply learnings to improve processes.
  • Integrate change management best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build strong relationships with project sponsors, senior management, cross‑functional teams and other project stakeholders.
  • Support the Portfolio Manager and Product Owner in managing expectations for project deliverables, governance requirements and stakeholder communications.
  • Communicate risks, opportunities, and changes clearly and proactively.
  • Support prioritisation discussions, impact assessments, and change‑related decision‑making.
  • Engage with and influence stakeholder groups at a senior management level with the purpose of implementing identified solutions, prioritising requirements, and ensuring that the necessary resources are in place to support business requirements
  • Engage with colleagues to prioritise change, conduct impact assessments, and push back on change requests as necessary
 
EXPERIENCE 
 
What You Bring 
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
  
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, Leadership, etc)
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE 2, or similar project management certification
  • Prosci Change Management Certificate or similar change management certificate a plus
  • Extensive experience as an IT Project Manager delivering a wide variety of software projects, both in-house and vendor-led
  • Strong familiarity with agile and waterfall project management methodologies
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Stays current with industry standards and changes and demonstrates this knowledge through implementation
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to organise, direct, motivate and inspire others
  • Good knowledge of IT Infrastructure/Operations
  • Experience working in a law firm or other professional service industry also a plus
